Year 1 bridges trainee knowledge and skills gaps by introducing them to technology core concepts and principles. It provides the necessary prerequisites for advanced modules in Year 2.
In Year 2, we build fundamental knowledge of the underlying concepts and principles associated with this study area. Trainees will learn how to take different approaches to solving subject-related problems using developed knowledge and skills. They will develop fundamental capabilities to evaluate and interpret information/ data within the context of the area of study. Finally, they will gain an understanding of core defense-related theories, principles, and concepts in their field of study. Years 1 and 2 offer authentic learning experiences, optimal learning opportunities (OLMs) and optimizing learning opportunities. We strive to exceed the expectations of our trainees and employer sponsors and foster a positive and supportive learning environment. Throughout the programme, we will embed the professional skills that our trainees will require to be successful in their career, so they are highly-skilled and productive from day 1 in their employment.
This final module allows the trainee to demonstrate and apply the knowledge and skills gained, under the supervision and guidance of their employer. They will also benefit from the specialised training and development applicable to their own organisation.
